* Application for the residents/fellows fee should be certified by a letter from the head of the department to be up-loaded in the on-line platform directly (pdf format is required), stating that the applicant is an ophthalmology resident at the time of registration.

The fee for Residents and Fellows does not include the Social Dinner on 7th.

** Accompanying person fee includes: Welcome Reception during the Opening Ceremony on 6th and Social Dinner on 7th.

Online registrations will be available starting from December 15, 2017. 
Advance registrations are preferred in order to facilitate planning of the congress’s scientific sessions and social events. 

On-site registration is strongly discouraged.

Registration is mandatory for participation in the scientific sessions and for all oral, video and poster presenters.

VISA Information

For some nationalities, a visa is required in order to enter Canada.
Foreign participants should contact the Embassy or Consulate in their home country to determine their particular visa requirements.
Participants requiring visas should initiate the application process at least 3 months prior to their departure date.
The Organizing Secretariat OIC is not able assist participants with their visa application and cannot intervene with Embassies or Consulates on behalf of any participant.

Letter of Invitation (for Visa Application)

Only participants fully registered in the congress can obtain a personal invitation letter and only once the full payment of the registration fee is received.
Relevant expenses for hardcopy of the invitation letter sent by express courier must be paid the in advance.
Please note that the visa invitation letter only aims to assist participants who need to obtain a visa or permission to attend the Congress and it is not a commitment from the organizers to cover any kind of expenses or to provide any financial support. All expenses incurred in relation to the conference remain the sole responsibility of the participant.


  • Group registration is possible for companies or travel agencies wishing to register groups of delegates.
  • INDIVIDUAL EMAIL ADDRESS OF EACH PARTICIPANT IS MANDATORY INFORMATION. The e-mail address of the sponsoring company will not be accepted.
  • It is not possible to register an accompanying person without a delegate.

How to make a Group Registration

In order to facilitate your group registration please download the “Group Registration Forms” and return all the documents duly filled in and signed, together with the proof of payment to: E-mail - Fax: 0039 055 50 35 230

To benefit from the early registration fees, please forward us the payment with the signed contract before 30 May, 2018 - the date of the receipt of the bank transfer will define the registration fee. After this date the early fees cannot be considered valid anymore with no exception and the higher price will be applied.
After 1 August 2018 the on site fees will be applied for registrations not paid in full at the previous dead-line.

Core registrations can be accepted without name list until 30 June 2018 if paid in full, according to the published registration deadlines.
After the set indicated deadline the complete name list is required.
The name list must be sent as an attachment by e-mail only (fax not accepted).

Any change or cancellation requests must be officially submitted in writing by fax or email to O.I.C. Srl - Fax +39 055 50 35 230, E-mail:

  • For cancellations received by August 1 2018 the paid amount will be refunded with a deduction of 70% that will be invoiced as penalty
  • No refund will be processed for cancellations received after August 1 2018.

Should you have any special requests for the processing of your invoice, kindly let us know when submitting your application.

  • Any modification on VAT number or billing address, requested after the issuing of the invoice incurs a € 30,00 administration charge.
  • Name changes incur a handling fee of € 39,00 per registration.


Should a delegate not attend the congress, for whatever reasons, no further claims for reimbursement or waiving of fees can be made.

In the event of serious special or unforeseen circumstances or serious circumstances beyond its control, OIC shall be entitled to cancel or modify the dates of the event. You shall not be entitled to compensation for any costs or damages incurred as a consequence of such a cancellation or change.

All delegates are urged to take personal travel insurance.

OIC will not be liable for any theft or damage to property and/or persons caused on site during the Congress, by any factor whatever, unless there has been a fault, intent or deliberate recklessness on the part of OIC.
OIC shall not be held responsible in the event of poisoning or food intoxication during the Event.
